Image Smith
Convert, compress, resize & strip metadata from images — entirely on your phone. HEIC, JPEG, PNG, WebP, TIFF, BMP and more, processed on-device.
Privacy isn’t a feature — it’s the architecture. Your data never leaves your device.
Toolsmith Labs is an independent software studio building products people actually reach for — an on-device image toolkit, a precious-metals terminal and free exam prep. Focused, fast, and built to work without forced signups or bloat.
Three products. Three problems solved properly.

A clean terminal for the silver & precious-metals market — multi-exchange spot prices (COMEX, MCX, SHFE), vault inventory and macro signals in one workspace.
Native iOS & Android apps releasing soon.
Full-length mock tests and chapter-wise practice for YSP UGET & HPUIIT aspirants — with a timer, analytics and answer-by-answer review. Just start; no account needed.
Built in collaboration with PrepiXa (Harshit Rana) and Chirag.
Every Toolsmith product started as a problem one of us actually hit. We don’t build for a market we read about in a deck — we build the tool we wished existed when we were stuck.
Each product does one thing and does it properly.
Open it and use it; no setup, no onboarding maze.
No feature soup, no upsell labyrinth, no bloat.
No VC, no growth hacks; shipped one product at a time.
“Open it and use it. Accounts stay optional — for extras, never as a gate.”
Image Smith and our underlying libraries are open source — the app is AGPL-licensed and our SDKs are MIT, free to read, embed and extend. Not everything we build is open, but the parts that benefit from it are.
Toolsmith Labs is an independent software studio based in India. We build focused products for niche but important problems. No venture funding, no growth hacks — just useful software shipped one product at a time.
I’m Om Bhardwaj. I started Toolsmith Labs to build the tools I kept wishing existed — Image Smith and Lattice both grew straight out of problems I ran into myself. I’m from Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, now based in Bengaluru, and I also contribute to Avni, an open-source data-collection platform.
HimachaliExams is the one we built with others. My younger cousin Chirag spent months preparing off PrepiXa’s channel, and after his own exams he built a simple static site where students could take mock tests. He brought it to me; we added the backend, persistence and hosting, and partnered with PrepiXa (Harshit Rana) to turn it into a real place for Himachal entrance aspirants to practise with timed tests. Being from Himachal myself, this one’s close to home.
